DYNASTY KEEPER PLAYER

At the end of this Season when we choose Keepers, we will be Adding a fifth "Dynasty Keeper" - a Player who can be kept indefinitely - to our Teams.

Dynasty Keepers are to be Declared on May 1 (along with other Keepers) and should be denoted with a "D".

Only Players Drafted in the 9th Rd or later (or who go Undrafted) and are on your Team at the end of the Season are Eligible to be a Dynasty Keeper. Eligibility for Dropped Players - regardless of whether they clear Waivers - will not change.

Standard Keeper Players may not be converted to a Dynasty Keeper.
Dynasty Keepers can be changed each May, and if desired may be converted to Standard Keepers with 2 years Eligibility.

KEEPER RULES

A) Each year's 1st Round picks may not be kept. This will insure that the best players get cycled around from year to year.

***(A-1) 2nd Round picks also may not be kept.

B) Draft order each season will be an inverse order of how we all
finished in the Regular Season the previous year. This year, the first
year, will be Random. Any overly ridiculous attempts at tanking to
improve Draft position will be penalized.

***B-1) Draft Order determinations remain unchanged for teams placed
in the Consolation Playoff Bracket (Draft Picks #1-#6). Draft Order for
teams placed in the Championship Playoff Bracket (Draft Picks #7-#12)
will be assigned based on their finish in the Championship Playoff
Bracket:

3rd Place = Draft Pick #7

5th Place = Draft Pick #8

4th Place = Draft Pick #9

6th Place = Draft Pick #10

2nd Place = Draft Pick #11

1st Place = Draft Pick #12

***B-2) Draft Order for the 6 Teams that do not make the Playoffs will be Random. This supercedes designations outlined in previous Rules/Amendments.

C) Four Keepers per squad. We could do more, but I think four will be good.

D) A player can not be a Keeper more than two seasons in a row.
Again, makes sure players cycle through the Draft to some degree.

***D-1) Players who are designated as Keepers for a 2nd consecutive
year will be listed by the Comissioner with a "(2)" next to their names.

E) Keeper picks will be assigned as the last 4 picks of everyone's Draft.

F) Next year's Keepers are to be declared via Message Posting no
later than May 1st. Teams that do NOT declare their Keepers by May 1st
will automatically have their 2nd-5th round picks designated as their
Keepers.

***F-1) Teams that do not declare their Keepers (or have selected non-eligible Player(s) as Keepers) by May 1st (or revised deadline) will automatically have the top Keeper-eligible Players on their squad
(as determined by Yahoo! Rankings for 'Season(AVG)', Minimum 68 Games
Played) assigned to their squad as Keepers.

***F-1-A) Assigned Keepers will be noted with an asterisk "*".

***F-2) The Comissioner can replace any/all of an Abandoned Team's
Players (lowest ranking removed first) with other Keeper eligible
Players or Free Agents at times when it is clearly in the best interests
of that particular Abandoned Team.

***F-3) Current Managers may challenge Keeper Changes made by
Commissioner per Rule F-2 prior to team re-assignment if they do not
think the Keeper Changes are in the best interest of that particular
Abandoned Team.

G) Trades still need to be balanced, either in the short or long-term.

***G-1) Trades will be evaluated exclusively by the Commissioner.

***G-2) Commissioner shall consider a Trade from all angles and give reasonable benefit of the doubt to a Trade before determining it to be an 'Unbalanced Trade'.

***G-3) Prior to potentially Vetoing an Unbalanced Trade, Commissioner shall make a Post inviting involved parties to state why they see the Trade as balanced. Lack of response shall be noted as agreement from the Trade Teams that the Trade was unbalanced.

***G-4) Shenanigans, including but not limited to - Trying to Trade established starters for unheralded rookies, Trading Player X for Player Y and then Dropping Player Y two days later, etc. - will result in reversal of Trade (if it took place) and suspension of Trade functions for a period of time TBD by Commissioner. A second offense may result in removal from the League.

H) Any Team whose Manager that does not regularly maintain their
team through the season AND doesn't declare their Keepers will be
declared an Abandoned Team.

***H-1) No team that has won a Championship in the past 2 years shall be declared an Abandoned Team.

I) Managers may decline one or more of their Keepers pre-Draft. In these cases bottom-ranked Players will be assigned as placeholders and used as 'Keepers' for Draft purposes. Managers who replace placeholders post-Draft (same evening) will not be assessed a Transaction.

J) 'Player Dumps', in which a Manager Drops one or more talented, healthy Players and doesn't fill their Roster with a reasonable replacement(s) in a timely manner will result in Player(s) being returned to said Manager's Team and Manager losing both their Drop/Add and Trade functions for a period of time TBD by Commissioner. A second offense will result in removal from the League.

K) Managers with a Rule Change Request that will give Managers more equity or help our League better reflect the NBA are encouraged to present their Rule Change Request to the Commissioner via a new Post. Managers with other types of Rule Change Requests may do so as well. For consideration and to receive a response, Rule Change Requests should be well researched, typed in cogent, grammatically correct English, and must include all of the following:
- New Post with Header indicating topic
- The Rule Change you are seeking
- What (if anything) is wrong with the status quo
- How the Rule Change you are seeking is distinctly better than the status quo
- Any potential downsides to your proposed Rule Change
- How (if at all) your Team would benefit from the Rule Change you are proposing

***K) Managers who make poorly researched, rambling, self serving Rule Change Requests or who include snotty things such as 'its pretty simple to grasp' are likely to be eviscerated in Commissioners response.

L) Inappropriate Posts/Emails/Messages will result in suspension of Posting/Emailing functions for a period of time TBD by Commissioner. A second offense may result in removal from the League. An Inappropriate Post/Email/Message would include any of the following:
- Cussing
- Sexual Images/Emojis
- Name Calling
- Threats
- Bigoted Remarks

M) No Manager shall be removed from the League for any reason other than as set forth in the League's Rules. What's best for the League is that a Commissioner makes Rules that are then followed and isn't just making things up as they go along.

N) If any Dropped Player clears Waivers and is later Added as a Free Agent they will have full Keeper Eligibility regardless of Round Drafted or previous years as a Keeper.

O) Managers who finish their third season (or beyond) with a Yahoo rating of below 750 may be removed from League by Commissioner.
