Thanks for such a healthful ranch dressing! Minus the MSG & chemicals make it a keeper. We added a half cup of chopped fresh cilantro to the recipe for our taco salad supper.

Yum – we love the cilantro too, but we don’t tend to have it in the fridge as often as the green peppers. But it is an awesome addition! Thanks for sharing your experience!

Thanks for this recipe! It sounds delicious. I have a question, though. Is Summer Savory the same as Savory? I have Savory, and wondered if Summer Savory was a different herb. Thanks!

      Hi Ruth,
I am honestly not sure – I know that there is a “Winter Savory” and a “Summer Savory” that are both a little different in herbs and tastes, but I haven’t heard of just “Savory” before. Honestly, you could try it and it will probably be a substitute that will taste just fine in the recipe. If you try it, let us know. Btw – what brand is the Savory? I know that Summer and Winter Savory are done by a few brands – we just happen to have Spice Islands as there were on markdown at our Kroger, but we could always look it up online to compare the description/ingredient list. Have a great time making it and enjoy!

savory virtually always refers to summer savory. Winter savory is woody and a lot stronger in taste.

I have looked for a Ranch Dressing in stores for years without MSG, finally I found ONE recently! It is nice that you provided this recipe, I will keep it in my cookbook for times I want to get “fancy” or can’t find the one in the stores.

    Thank you for the recipe.
